Resize Image

No Change!

The Image Resizer lets you change the dimensions of any image to exact pixel values or a percentage of the original size — all inside your browser with no software downloads required. Whether you're optimizing images for a website, resizing photos to meet social media platform requirements, or preparing product images for an e-commerce store, this tool handles it instantly and for free.

Large images slow down websites and consume unnecessary storage space. Resizing to the correct dimensions before uploading is one of the single most effective steps you can take for website performance. A hero image that is 4000×3000 pixels but displayed at 1200×800 wastes server bandwidth and hurts your Google PageSpeed score. Our Image Resizer makes it trivially easy to fix that.

  • Supports PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP — works with all common image formats.

  5. Click Resize Image and download the result.

Common Image Size Requirements

Different platforms have specific image dimension requirements. Facebook shared link images: 1200×630px. Instagram square posts: 1080×1080px. Twitter/X header: 1500×500px. YouTube thumbnail: 1280×720px. WordPress featured image: typically 1200×628px. Amazon product images: minimum 1000px on the longest side. Our Image Resizer makes hitting these targets effortless.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will resizing reduce image quality?

Enlarging an image beyond its original size will reduce quality as the software must invent pixel data (interpolation). Reducing size generally maintains quality well. For JPG output, setting quality to 85–95 provides an excellent balance of file size and sharpness.

What is the maximum file size I can upload?

You can resize images of any file size directly in your browser. Very large files (above 20MB) may take a few seconds to process depending on your device speed.

Can I resize multiple images at once?

Currently the tool processes one image at a time. For batch resizing, consider using our Image Converter or a desktop tool like GIMP.

Does resizing change the file format?

No. The output format matches your input by default. You can convert format separately using our Image Converter.
